What are they saying...
First of all, thank you so much for the opportunity to beta-read your great book. The OWN method is a great tool that certainly will help readers worldwide.
What you exposed and discussed in the book was so relatable and made a great deal of sense to me. A couple of years ago, I saw myself spiraling. I was going through several changes in life that put me in a vulnerable state, and if I didn’t ‘own my sh!it’, I would have wrecked destruction for me and in my relationships for sure. I committed to therapy—which is still ongoing—and after a lot of hard work understanding root causes and my patterns, I can say I’m in a great place: stable, happy, and confident. At the time, I would love to have tangible tools to process my thoughts and feelings, like the ones you propose in the book.

Dr. Renee Brooks
I’ve just finished reading your book, and one of the things that stood out to me the most is how you can discuss so many complex topics in a light and smooth way. I really enjoyed the conversational tone. It was like you were my therapist and we were sitting together around a table sipping coffee while you told me some life-changing information.
I was raised to not raise my voice and conceal some of my feelings… so you can only imagine how hard it was to me to decide to leave a career and stability around my 30 to start a nomadic life and career. Of course, I could picture bits of myself in all the examples you brought here, and the fact is that for the first time in many years working as a Beta Reader and a whole life as an avid reader, you brought baggage that I could relate to. Raised to be the “perfect daughter” might not sound like a huge baggage, but it is incredible to see how powerful it is.
And this was the first time I see an author really naming it, permitting me to not feel like I was complaining while I should be thankful. I’m not sure if I could explain the exact feeling, I have now, but the point is that I believe you did an excellent job when you chose the real stories to share here. It was diverse, so I believe you made sure that all readers feel seen.
